The Center of Research and Education for Hydro, located in Grise Fiord, Nunavut, Canada will provide a permanent, self-sustaining building with a variety of spaces that incorporated living, working, research, and tourism for the community. It is designed to be strong enough to withstand natural disasters, but also diverse enough to extract energy and other beneficial resources from the ocean.
